Smooth experience, good tutorials

I signed up for an Annual Membership to Avalon Cakes. The ordering process was straightforward on their website. Immediately got access to everything. I specifically watched the Wafer Paper Flowers and the Fondant Sculpting Lessons. The video quality was excellent, and the instructors explained things clearly. I had a quick question about a specific tool mentioned in one tutorial, and their support responded to my email within a day. No complaints about delivery since it's all digital. Overall, a very good platform for learning.

So many great tutorials!

Oh my gosh, Avalon Cakes is just fantastic! I signed up for the Monthly Membership and I'm totally hooked. The Character Modeling tutorial was so much fun, and I learned a ton. My cakes are already looking way better. I'm telling all my baking friends they need to check this out. Will definitely keep my subscription going!

Reliable and consistent quality

I've been an Avalon Cakes member for a while now, probably my third year. I've always gone with the Annual Membership because it's just easier. This time I focused on some advanced gravity-defying structures. The quality of the lessons is always consistent, just like my previous purchases. They update with new content regularly, which keeps things interesting and makes me want to come back.

Good value for annual membership

I was looking for some good cake decorating classes and saw Avalon Cakes. I opted for the Annual Membership during their holiday sale. The discount made it really affordable, much better than paying monthly. I've already tried a few beginner techniques, and the tutorials are easy to follow. It felt like a solid investment for the amount of content you get.

Are new tutorials added regularly? Don't want to run out of new stuff to learn after a few months.

J Josh Moore 6 days ago
They add new stuff pretty consistently, almost every week or two I feel like. There's always something fresh.

Yeah, new tutorials drop all the time. And they have a massive backlog too, so you won't get bored.

How do these guys compare to Sugar Geek Show? I've been eyeing both and can't decide where to put my money.

B Betty Jones 1 week ago
I've tried both. Avalon Cakes tends to focus a lot on the artistry and detailed sculpting, while Sugar Geek has a lot of good business tips and sometimes faster, more 'trendy' stuff. Depends what you're looking for.

Avalon feels a bit more structured for learning progression, I think. Sugar Geek is great too, but I prefer the depth of the tutorials on Avalon for actual skill building.

Does Avalon Cakes offer a free trial at all? Or is it jump straight into a paid plan?

S Sandra 1 week ago
Yep, they have a 7-day free trial! You can check out some content before committing.

They do! Just sign up and you get a week to explore. Make sure to cancel if you don't want to continue, but it's a good way to see if you like it.

Hey, I'm thinking about signing up for the annual membership. Do they ever have sales on that, or is it pretty much always full price?

S Stephanie Walker 1 month ago
Yeah, they totally do! I got my annual membership for like 30% off during their Black Friday sale last year. Keep an eye out around holidays.

They often have deals, especially for new members. I think I saw a new year's discount too, so it's worth waiting a bit if you can.

Are the videos only for like, super advanced cake artists? I'm pretty new to this and don't want to sign up if it's all way over my head.

D Daniel Nguyen 1 week ago
They have a good mix. Some are intense but there are plenty of beginner-friendly ones too, even a 'baking basics' type course. You'll find something for sure.
